This year Tallaght Choral Society celebrates 50 years of choral singing. Formed in 1967, when Tallaght was still a small village at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, it has grown under a succession of musical directors, beginning with our founder and current president, Fr Donal Sweeny, O.P., who continues to sing with the choir. Lynsey Callaghan was appointed Musical Director in September 2015. Successful collaborations have included performances with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, the R.I.A.M. orchestra, Belfast Philharmonic Choir, Liverpool Welsh Choral Union, Edinburgh Royal Choral Union and more recently, the US choir Bel Canto Chorus. Down through the years Tallaght Choral Society has performed many of the major choral works.

Join us for a wonderful Mozart repertoire as we celebrate this significant anniversary.
